HP Launches Envy Range Of Ultrabooks, Sleekbooks

HP has expanded its notebook portfolio with introduction of HP Envy range of ultrabook and sleekbooks.

The HP Envy Ultrabook, Envy 4 available in 14 -inch and Envy 6 available in 15.6-inch diagonal display sizes, includes 3rd generation Intel Core processors and offers up to eight or nine hours of battery life. The Ultrabook systems include an mSATA solid state drive along with Intel Rapid Start, Intel Identity Protection Technology, Intel Smart Response and Intel Smart Connect technologies.


The HP Envy Sleekbook, available in 14-inch and 15.6-inch diagonal displays, offers eight or nine hours of battery life.

“HP’s market share has gone up to 14.9 percent as per IDC Asia/Pacific Quarterly PC Tracker, Q1 CY2012, as against 13 percent in Q4 2011. HP grew by 23.1 percent in Q1 2012 as against the overall PC client market growth of 7.7 percent during the same period,” said Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Marketing Officer, PPS, HP India.

He also stated, “Significant part of our business comes from the West region therefore placing it high up in our regional strategy. With West India contributing about 25.9 percent of the business from India, Maharashtra contributes about 16.4 percent of our business from West India, as per IDC Q1 2012.”

The Envy Ultrabook range is available at a starting price of Rs 57,990 and Envy Sleekbook range starts at Rs 41,990.
